A colour-coating line has entered pilot production at Jingye Group (phase II) in China’s Hebei Province. It was designed and supplied by CISDI Thermal and Environmental Engineering Co.

Jingye Group has long partnered with CISDI Thermal on its annealing and galvanising programmes. The new line will transform existing cold-rolled and galvaluminium products to plate for the higher-value household appliance market (100,000 tonnes a year) and plate for building materials.

The line is comprised of entry, process and exit sections. Its functions are degreasing and cleaning, chemical coating, drying, thermal and cold laminating, tri-colour printing and level-straightening.

Advanced measures have been taken to ensure a high standard of plate surface cleaning and chemical coating. They include regenerative thermal oxidiser-based auxiliary drying, curing oven and tail gas treatment.
