A hot strip rolling line (1,780mm specification) at Shenglong Metallurgical Co in China’s Guangxi Province is all set for improved production, thanks to a new skin pass mill from CISDI.

The mill has gone operational and skin-passed products have met contractual quality standards.

The SPM features CISDI’s 3^rd-generation expertise, which results in high-strength, more precise and smart production.

Following its startup, it will fulfill all specifications in thickness (from 1.2-12.7mm) and widths from 800-1,630mm, achieve a maximum strength of 1,200 megapascals and an 800,000-tonne annual production capacity.

Main steel grades include low-carbon, common carbon structural, quality carbon structural, low-alloy high-strength structural, automobile structural and container steels.
