A critical equipment inspection has been successfully carried out by representatives from Taiwan’s E United Yieh Hsing.

The equipment, designed and manufactured by CISDI Equipment Co in Chongqing, will be delivered to the Taiwan company’s bar-in-coil outlet project.

It includes CISDI’s NHCD high-rigidity short-stress path rolling mill, FHSCD flying shear, pinch roll and SRSCD high-speed wire-rod reducing and sizing mill.

All inspections of process data, measurements and testing met the designed requirements. The reducing mill’s testing speed reached 117 metres per second and its maximum vibration was 2.6 millimetres per second – world-class levels.

CISDI’s NHCD short-stress path rolling mill accounts for the No. 1 market share in China’s high-quality long products rolling, thanks to its high rigidity, strong stability and its precise adjustment control.

CISDI’s SRSCD high-speed wire-rod reducing and sizing mill is world-leading. Its product dimensional precision can be controlled to within plus and minus 0.07mm. It is super-high speed, super-heavy loading and has outstanding exchangeability, strong adaptability and more convenient operation.

E United Yieh Hsing is transforming its high-speed wire-rod rolling line to a combined high-speed wire-rod rolling and bar-in-coil outlet line. Annual production capacity will be increased from 300,000 tonnes to 450,000 tonnes.

The Pingnan line will have a new reducing and sizing mill and a BIC outlet unit, and its old water cooling system, pinch roll and laying head, coil finishing and collection system will be replaced.

The modernised line will produce wire rods ranging from dia. 5.5 to 20mm and bar-in-coils ranging from dia. 14 to 38mm. Its main steel grades will include quality carbon, alloy structural and free-cutting steels, austenite, martensite and ferrite stainless steel.
