High-speed bar and high-speed wire-rod rolling lines have been hot commissioned at a steel plant in Thailand owned by China’s Fujian Qunfeng Co.

The 56 short-stress path rolling mills for both lines have been supplied by CISDI.

The bar rolling line will produce 1.40 million tonnes of rebars a year, in specifications ranging from 6mm to 22mm.

The wire-rod line will produce 600,000 tonnes of rods with a specification range of 5.5mm to 16mm.

CISDI Equipment Co. delivered the mills on schedule in mid 2020 after overcoming challenges caused by a build-up of manufacturing and delivery tasks following China’s COVID-19 lockdown, and restrictions on transportation by sea.

The company’s technical team provided first-rate assistance and support at the site to ensure equipment installation and commissioning went smoothly.
